According to Korea Times, INFINITE vocalist Nam Woo-hyun released his second full-length album, 2X8, on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. The record marks his tenth year as a solo artist, and it arrives with 16 tracks led by the title song DEVIL.
In a sit-down interview with the outlet, Nam explained that the tracks cover a wide range of genres and reflect a decade of making music on his own. He described the album as something that came out of a difficult period in his life, saying he got through that time by writing it.
The title track carries a message about contradiction. According to Nam, everyone holds both good and evil inside them, and both belong to the same person. He encouraged listeners not to be shaken and to live by their own convictions, a theme that runs through the song’s lyrics and concept.
Nam also reflected on the realities of working alone. He said that being solo has its advantages but can feel lonely at times, a candid look at the trade-offs that come with leaving a group setting to build a career under his own name.
The release follows a busy stretch for Nam. Ahead of the album, he announced a 10th solo debut anniversary concert titled Arbor Day VI, and he previewed part of the choreography for the DEVIL performance. Fans can expect the album to be the centerpiece of that celebration.
