According to Sports Khan, ITZY member Chaeryeong is going solo. JYP Entertainment announced the project on October 19, and her solo debut mini album, also titled Lovesick, will go live on November 9 at 6 p.m. KST. A countdown livestream is planned for 5 p.m. that day.
The four-song tracklist includes the title track “Lovesick,” along with “Moonlit Club,” “Scent,” and “Favorite Reason.” Chaeryeong co-wrote the lyrics for “Favorite Reason,” which gives fans a clearer look at her own writing on the record.
Chaeryeong debuted with ITZY in 2019, and she becomes the third member of the group to release a solo project, following Yeji and Yuna. Fans known as MIDZY have followed her solo plans closely, and the promotion run has been steady since the announcement.
Concept photos began appearing on October 26, with more sets added on October 28 and music video photos on October 30. The schedule also includes music video teasers and an album spoiler before the release date.
A music video teaser for the title track was released on November 2, and coverage describes it as horror-inspired. The album and the full music video arrive on November 9, and a physical release follows on November 13.
Solo debuts from idol group members often reach beyond the core fanbase, and Lovesick puts Chaeryeong at the center of her own project. Her debut is one of the most anticipated solo releases of the month, and the promotion so far suggests a carefully planned concept rather than a quick single drop.
