According to STARNEWS, Jungkook’s first solo album, GOLDEN, has reached 12 million cumulative sales, up 2 million since the 10 million milestone reported in September 2025. The outlet published the figures on October 19 and says the record places the album among the top debut albums by a male artist this decade.
GOLDEN was released in November 2023 by BTS member Jungkook. According to the same report, the album sold 8.4 million copies last year alone, which shows that demand has held up well beyond its launch period. It has also passed 6.2 billion streams on Spotify.
Its chart run is equally long. STARNEWS reports that the album has spent 25 weeks on the Billboard 200 and 153 weeks on a weekly global album chart. It has also charted for 8 weeks on the UK Official Top 100 album chart, and for more than 620 days on Apple Music’s Worldwide Albums chart.
The album has also earned critical attention. The report notes that Rolling Stone named it the Best Music of 2023, while MTV described it as a record-breaking album of that year. The Korean outlet also calls GOLDEN the No. 1 K-pop solo album, a ranking tied to its sales and long-term performance.
Fans of BTS and Jungkook have kept the album in the spotlight for nearly three years, and the new milestone adds another chapter to its story. As the numbers continue to climb, GOLDEN stands as one of the strongest solo releases of the group’s era.
